Brunswick Officer Offers Defense

Local attorney Adrienne Browning will represent former Brunswick City police officer James Crawford in McIntosh Superior Court following charges stemming from a March 16 incident in McIntosh County, Browning said Crawford had a legitimate reason to be in uniform when the incident occurred and she believes there are discrepancies in the statements of those who allege Crawford made terroristic threats. A felony conviction results in the loss of police certification in Georgia. Browning wants to clear Crawford, who was fired from the city department, so that he can continue to work in Georgia law enforcement.
