Accountant Guides Jury Through Corrine Brown's Financial Web

An FBI forensic accountant walked a Jacksonville jury through a bundle of transactions yesterday where money was moved from groups controlled by friends of former U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown into Brown’s personal bank account. The groups included a nonprofit run by a Jacksonville City Councilman and One Door for Education. Those transactions are the backbone of evidence prosecutors are using to prove Brown masterminded a scheme to siphon money from One Door for Education, a fraudulent charity, for her personal use.
