Finance Committee to Discuss Renovations

The Glynn County Commission’s finance committee will meet at 10:00 this morning in the second floor conference room in the Pate building. The committee will consider payment of just over $50,000 to ADS Construction Inc. for renovation work that has been done in Tax Commissioner Jeff Chapman’s office in the Pate building. There is also just over $14,000 worth of ADS’s original work that needs to be completed. A set of certified plans will have to be drawn and a permit will be required by the City of Brunswick. With an additional $10,000 for contingencies, the total cost is $93,500. Glynn County Facilities Manager Ben Mauney recommended using ADS to finish the work he started. The remainder of the renovations should be bid out and awarded in accordance with county purchasing policies.
